Your Support is Greatly Appreciated

Started in 1999 by a small group of ovarian cancer survivors, Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) has grown to be a dynamic force dedicated to raising awareness and funding the research needed to detect ovarian cancer early and treat it properly.

Over the past eight years, MOCA has funded over $2 million in ovarian cancer research and has developed a successful medical education program that reaches over 800 medical professionals a year.

We do more than provide resources for women with ovarian cancer and their families. Through regularly scheduled meetings, quarterly newsletters, a comprehensive website and fundraising and educational events, we provide a platform to share information and connect with others. We are a caring and hopeful community.

We are proud of the work we have accomplished and the community we have created. Now, we are determined to reach a larger audience. With your help, we can make great strides in the fight against ovarian cancer!

Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Estate Planning
Join us in the battle against ovarian cancer by making arrangements to donate part of your estate to MOCA. Your gift may be directed to a particular special event, an outreach or education program, or for research. For more information, please contact
Kathleen Gavin, MOCA’s Executive Director.

Gifts of Stock
MOCA is able to accept gifts of stock. To make arrangements, please contact
Executive Director Kathleen Gavin.

United Way
The United Way allows employees to support MOCA through their workplace campaigns. MOCA benefits from the donor choice programs of various United Way affiliates.

Please consider writing in “MOCA” under “Other” when a United Way campaign pledge card is presented for your selections. If your pledge card does not have a defined area to nominate MOCA as the beneficiary organization, you may still write in MOCA as your choice recipient.

MOCA is not a United Way agency organization and therefore we do not receive support for their general funds. Your specified support however helps MOCA achieve its mission, which includes funding ovarian cancer research, raising awareness of the disease and providing support to women with ovarian cancer and their families.

Matching Gift Information
Many companies have matching gift programs to encourage employees to donate to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match your contribution dollar for dollar and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. If your employer has a matching gift program, MOCA will help you facilitate the paperwork.
